This is the first day of the rest of your life! When I first heard this phrase I began to laugh. It is so true isn’t it? This week is a great time to think about what your empowering meanings are in your life. You can find an empowering meaning in every situation that you experience. Just as you always have choices in your life, you also have the power to really examine your own experiences and find the empowering lessons that are just for you.
The pain you may feel from a situation is because you value that illusion of loss more than you value your commitment to finding a higher level or a more empowering meaning. Your quality of life comes down to the quality of the emotions that you experience as well as the vehicles you choose for those experiences. When I speak of vehicles, I am talking about money, relationships, position or possessions. Spirituality is put to the wayside when we focus on the loss of those things instead of the purpose.
To make that change for yourself takes time. If you look at those experiences with the mindset of having the gift of experiencing those lessons, then the pain will subside much easier. If you stay focused on that loss (Example: Your car was totaled), then the pain of that loss will continue to take up space in your life. So what does all of this mean?
It means that while you may not like the experience you are having, there is some lesson or benefit to you or others.
Have you suffered a loss that you just can’t seem to get over? Try really looking for the lessons that are meant for you with this experience. Even the greatest losses have great lessons. How can your experiences benefit you in the future? How can your loss benefit someone else? That moment when you face another choice will come. That moment when you can connect with another human being and provide the wisdom of your experience also comes.
I do believe that all of your experiences in your life are lessons that are necessary for you to learn. You do have the power to change what you think, feel and believe regardless of your past conditioning. The moment you change what things mean to you, you will make a life-long transformation of your experience. Find Your Power!
Many Blessings!
